Until next time, keep on rockin'! 20 Jan '06 A sad day for the Swedish sleaze scene: Dave Lepard, singer and guitarplayer in the band Crashdïet was found dead in his apartment in Uppsala during the night of the 19th of January. This marks, according to the surviving bandmembers, the end of the band in which Dave was a driving force. Dave and Crashdïet will be remembered for their opening the door for the whole genre in sweden. Who would have guessed that a glam/sleaze band could be signed to a major record-company more than a decade after the genre was declared dead. They embodied the possibility for a demo hard rock act to get the opportunity to perform and record in the higher league. Let's hope that this won't mark the end but a new beginning for the Swedish sleaze scene, though without a real key player on the field. I've updated the links section and the shows section. No interviews are coming in the near future though. I've had a lot of shit to take care of since the last update, my band Paradice has been laid to rest and there's been problems with the rehearsal room we had. But the future seems to be bright. There's a compilation of Swedish sleaze & Rock'n'Roll from Swedmetal Records coming out in October that I've helped to put together. It's gonna be a really good party album with a lot of old as well as new stuff, so check it out! I'll try to promote the site even more to reach all the new fans of the scene. On the interviews page there are for now no interviews but I will soon get some with some of the influential people in the scene. 16 Jan '05 The ball is rolling! Nice to see that people are using the site as it should be and that more and more are paying attention to it. I hope it will unite the the fans and bands to build up the scene! I hope the page will be a forum for swedish and foreign bands in the genre. The more bands that post their news on the site, the more important it will be, so start posting your shit! 2 Oct '04 Things are happening in the world of swedish sleaze! Bands are signing contracts and the scene is growing larger and larger. Soon I'll get the money to put up the forum and the guestbook again so all the bands can post their news and updates!
